Mrs. Tikdem Tunta is an experienced public service leader and development professional with a strong background in management, gender, youth development, and safeguarding. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Management, which has equipped her with solid leadership, planning, and organizational management skills.

Mrs. Tikdem has served in several key government leadership positions, including as Head of the Youth and Sport Office and Head of the Women and Child Affairs Office. In these roles, she provided strategic direction, coordinated multisectoral programs, and worked closely with communities and stakeholders to promote youth empowerment, gender equality, and the protection and wellbeing of women and children.

She has also contributed at the zonal level as part of the Zonal Plan Office, working in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Through this role, she supported evidence-based planning, performance tracking, and accountability in development programs. In addition, Mrs. Tikdem is a recognized Gender and Safeguarding Expert, with strong experience in integrating protection, gender sensitivity, and safeguarding standards into policies and programs.

Beyond public service, Mrs. Tikdem Tunta serves as the Board Chairperson of Harmony Initiative Ethiopia, where she provides strategic leadership, governance oversight, and guidance to advance the organization's mission and impact.

Professionally, Mr. Matusala has served in diverse roles, including Teacher, Accountant, and Organizational Auditor. As a teacher, he contributed to the development of learners by imparting knowledge and fostering critical thinking and discipline. His experience in accounting strengthened his skills in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and resource management, ensuring transparency and efficiency in organizational operations.

In his role as an Organizational Auditor, Mr. Matusala has played a vital role in assessing financial systems, internal controls, and compliance mechanisms. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership, equipping her with deep insight into human behavior and effective organizational management.

Throughout her career, Mrs Hiwot has served in various leadership and supervisory roles, including: Counselor Team Leader and Office Head in key public institutions such as the Youth and Sport Office, Women and Children Affairs Office, Plan Office, and the Education Office. She also served as a Self-Help groups coordinator in Terepeza Development Association (TDA)

Her work reflects a strong commitment to community development, youth empowerment, and social welfare.

In addition to her administrative roles, she is an experienced trainer, public speaker, and mentor, known for her ability to inspire, guide, and build the capacity of individuals and teams. Mr. Shimelis Shiferawu is a dedicated medical professional and academic with a strong background in laboratory science and medical microbiology. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Medical Laboratory Science and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medical Microbiology, equipping him with both practical and advanced scientific expertise in the field of health sciences.

Mr. Shimelis has served as a lecturer at several higher education institutions, including Arbaminch Health Science College, Wolaita Soddo University, and Pharma Health Science College. Through his teaching roles, he has contributed significantly to the training and development of future health professionals, sharing his knowledge and experience in medical laboratory sciences and microbiology.

In addition to his academic career, Mr. Shimelis has hands-on clinical experience, having worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Jinka Hospital. This practical exposure has strengthened his teaching and research work by linking theoretical knowledge with real-world laboratory practice.

Mr. Samson Gelan is a seasoned development professional and agricultural expert with strong academic training and extensive experience in the agriculture and rural development sector. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Rural Development and Family Science and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Agricultural Economics, which provide him with a solid foundation in both community-centered development and agricultural policy and analysis.

Mr. Samson has served in various leadership and technical roles, including as Head of an Agriculture Office, where he played a key role in planning, coordinating, and implementing agricultural development initiatives. He is also an Agriculture Plant Science Expert, contributing his technical expertise to improve crop production, productivity, and sustainable farming practices.

In addition, he has worked within the Zonal Agriculture Department in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), supporting evidence-based decision-making, program performance tracking, and learning for improved agricultural interventions. Alongside his professional roles, Mr. Samson is actively engaged as a researcher, contributing to studies and assessments that support agricultural development, food security, and rural livelihoods.

With a strong blend of academic knowledge, practical field experience, leadership, and research skills, Mr. Samson Gelan has made valuable contributions to the advancement of agriculture and rural development.

Mr. Chernet Tunta has a BA in Management, MA in Business management. Mr. Chernet Tunta is a devoted development professional with a strong commitment to serving vulnerable children and marginalized communities in Ethiopia, particularly in Wolaita. With a career rooted in compassion and service, he has dedicated his life to improving the well-being, education, and survival of children living in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Chernet began his professional journey as a teacher, a role he served with dedication for five years. During this time, he was deeply affected by the realities faced by many students who were unable to attend school consistently due to hunger and lack of basic necessities. Witnessing children struggle to learn while facing severe resource constraints left a lasting impression on him and ignited a strong desire to address the root causes of child vulnerability beyond the classroom.

Motivated by this calling, he transitioned from teaching into child-focused development work. Over the years, Mr. Chernet has served through several reputable national and international organizations, including SOS Sahel Ethiopia, Population Services International (PSI), Bright Future Ethiopia, Foundation for Children's Hope, and the Ethiopian Kalehiwot Church Development Commission (EKCDDC). His work has taken him to some of the remotest and most underserved regions of the country, such as Benishangul-Gumuz, Oromia, Amhara, and Wolaita (SNNPR).

Throughout his career, Mr. Chernet has held diverse leadership and technical roles, including Program Coordinator, Project Manager, Economic Strengthening Coordinator, Gender, Youth and Safeguarding Specialist, and Business Development Services (BDS) Advisor. In these positions, he has played a key role in designing, implementing, and managing programs that enhance child protection, economic resilience, gender equity, and youth empowerment.

Driven by his deep empathy for children deprived of basic needs and opportunities, Mr. Chernet has consistently worked to create sustainable solutions that address poverty, education access, and child protection. His passion and leadership also led him to initiate and contribute significantly to the establishment of Harmony Initiative Ethiopia (HIE), where he played a leading role in turning the vision into reality.
